Back in Time

Siblings backstory ('Day of the Devil' time)

An idea finally did come... in the form of 06/06/2006, the 'day of the devil' to many bible thumpers. Yes, due to 666 being the devil's number and whatever, right. Well, I wanted to do something on that day, but didn't know what. I had previously gotten a drawing tablet, but I hadn't practiced animating with it yet. I really wanted to give this new series idea a shot, but I had no material. I put these facts together and I came up with a few jokes for a pilot animation.

I didn't decide to do this until the actual DAY I was wanting to release, so I had to hurry up and make it. I've done entire animations in one day before, so I was sure I could do it. I kept thinking of funny things to say about the day, so I got Johny and we recorded the dialogue. I'd say my funny things, and Johny would respond in whatever way he thought to, honest as that. It was improv, basically. Then I took the best parts, put them in order, and animated for the next 6 or so hours. I released the finished product on Newgrounds shortly after. I wasn't sure if I was going to commit to an entire series of this sort of thing, but I sure as hell gave it a shot.

People seemed to like it. It even made it into a collection, one of my first animations to do that since Robots are Stupid, which got me pretty excited. I was satisfied by that point, so I decided to take it easy for awhile and wait. I had no idea what episode 1 would be, but I was sure I'd think of something.
